Julie Lamont is the only white woman in the French-Canadian woods where she lives with her Uncle Henri, a trader who smuggles whiskey to the Indians. Though she has no interest in them she is pursued by brothers Pierre and Jean Dubois, suppliers of Henri's whiskey.
